Preface
In the world of science and industry, the open and intensive exchange of information is fundamental to the successful development of any given area of expertise. For many years, our company has been participating in such instructive forums and supporting them through research and development. Most of our educational activity to date, however, has focused on biotechnology, so we are taking this "Point by Point" opportunity to furnish our friends, visitors, clients, employees and other interested parties with a comprehensive view of BiOENGiNEERiNG AG as a multi-dimensional corporate entity.
We would like readers to get to know us as more than just a company specializing in hygienic design and biotechnology. Through the key words that follow, we hope to familiarize them with the numerous and varied aspects of these fields. Our intention is not simply to list definitions; we also intend to provide an overview of our company’s different departments, introduce our products, explain specific technical aspects, and highlight the outside interests of our management and staff, whose pursuits range from delightfully diverse to passionately profound.
BiOENGiNEERiNG AG has established an international reputation through its many years of commitment to biotechnology. Our non-core activities, however, have been often so unpublicized as to resemble vague rumor. The company-portrait lexicon that follows is meant to present these more peripheral areas that supplement and enrich our well-known central activities. We would like to acquaint readers with the history, geography and people of the Zurich Highlands and report on how, in tandem with our company's everyday operation, we have promoted regional culture through local lectures, exhibits, dance, theater, circus and ballet.
The aim of "Point by Point” is to become a reference work for hygienic design and a guide for clients and visitors from industry, research, science, and technology, as well as for our friends and employees here at BiOENGiNEERiNG. It will have achieved its purpose when it has laid the groundwork for the fruitful exchanges, constructive cooperation and open discussions so essential both now and in the future.
